Six steps from a rough idea to stock on your shelf. Most of them are shorter than people expect, and the one that takes longest is the one you control.
1. Tell us what you are after
However rough. A flavour, a product you like, a blend you buy now and want matched, or a gap on your shelf. An email to hello@savouri.co or the enquiry form is enough. You will hear back within one working day.
2. A proper conversation
One call, with the person who will make your product. We work out what you actually need: the format, the volume, the shelf life, whether it is one product or a range. Pricing comes up on this call, on purpose, so nobody spends weeks on something that will not work. If you need an NDA first, it is signed before any detail is shared.
3. Choose the route
Our recipe, packed under your label: the quickest, with no development fee. Your recipe, made to your specification: send it, or send a sample of what you buy now. Or a recipe developed for you, to a brief, where development is £150 and credited against your first production order. The recipe you bring stays yours; a recipe developed for you is yours once development is paid.
4. Samples, then changes
First samples within a week. You taste them in the way your customers will, on the food, not off a spoon, and tell us what to change. We go again until you are happy. This is the step that takes as long as you need it to; some products are right first time, some take three rounds.
5. Compliance, sorted for you
Once the recipe is fixed, you get the paperwork: product specification sheet, allergen matrix, nutritional data and barcodes, GS1 or your own. Printed labels if the project needs them. A certificate of analysis on request. Where a project needs it, SALSA-approved production routes are available, with facility documentation supplied at technical approval. The recipe, the specification and the artwork are then fixed in writing, and any later change goes through you before it goes into production.
6. Production and delivery
We produce, we deliver, you reorder when ready. Every batch is checked against the retained reference sample. Finished stock can be held and called off against your forecast, or delivered in one go. Reorders go through the trade portal or by email.
How long the whole thing takes
Steps one to three fit inside a week. Samples start within a week of the brief. The production lead time depends on the format and the volume and is agreed on the first call, so you know the date before you commit. The longest step is usually step four, and that is yours.
